- Good... should be a nice size seeing as how prices are dropping so quickly.

- Great.. finally some huge Amiga games and apps developed knowing everyone
- with the new Amiga has a CD-ROM drive.

-
- Nice expansion of memory but they should not even consider 1 meg of chip
- ram and stick with the 2 MEG of chipram. What are they going back to the
- A1000 way of thinking, some chipram coming standard and having to expand
- it later? This would be going backwards in the Amiga community seeing as
- how the ECS came with 1 MEG of chipram and the AGA chipset came with 2
- MEG. The 4 fast is nice though.

-
- I guess it is up to 3rd party companies to come up with SCSI
- capabilities for it again. At least the external ZIP drive could make
- better use out of the enhanced parallel port.. speed wize.

- If this isn't remmidied, a lot of current Amiga users will not upgrade if
- their current software breaks on the newer machine leaving it being a
- machine with hardly any software to run at start thus no one buying it.

-
- A switch would be nice to go from one to the other.. would the
- connections (port) for the floppy drive be the same so older Amiga
- external floppy drives can be connected along with newer PC HD drives or
- would there need to be an adaptor? A change in the Amiga HD floppy
- architecture? Not for the better I bet.. reducing the amount it can hold
- more then likely.
-
- Didn't the chip "Gary" (or its equivalent) control the serial and modem
- etc. ports in the Amiga in the past? If so, what about the software which
- accessed it directly?

-
- Choose their own keyboard? I assume a standard keyboard will be supplied
- with it (I've seen the A4000 keyboard mentioned).

-
- Thats a lot of room for upgrades to the OS.

-
- Will it still remain compatible with the old interface and/or software
- looking for it/its code?

- Nice.

-
- Nice. The Power Amiga will be PPC 604 based though still right? Was this
- distinction made to give the PPC Amiga the edge?

- Enabling graphics cards etc. Nice.

-
- If not now, for the Power Amiga.

-
- This is a nice idea but the looks of the thing could attract or repulse
- people to/from the machine. I haven't seen a picture yet but from the
- sounds of it that is two strikes in a row now for AT and a case design for
- a computer. The olive colored A4000 mini tower new design presented awhile
- back looked horrible!

- Please let this be available in North America BEFORE Christmas '96 like
- the rest of the world and us not being snubbed again!
